East Central Illinois Christian School

Our Staff & Board of Trustees

Our Staff

The faculty of East Central Illinois Christian School is proud to lead students in their spiritual and academic pursuits. The school board and administration have carefully chosen our instructors. We have selected teachers committed to Christ and education.

headteacher – Mary St. Clair

Mary St.Clair is our new headteacher.  She is a retired teacher.  She has taught at Kansas TLC, Shiloh School and most recently Crestwood School in Paris.  Mrs. St.Clair has a Master’s in Art Education, an endorsement in elementary education, and an endorsement in Technology education.  Though teaching art for most of her 34 years, Mrs. St.Clair taught in an elementary classroom at Kansas TLC and most recently she was the Technology/STEM teacher at Crestwood for the past 9 years.

Mrs. St.Clair loves teaching and working with children but has found that working here with these students has been the most fun and rewarding work of her teaching career.

Our Board of Trustees

East Central Illinois Christian School has a self-perpetuating board. Board members are chosen based on I Timothy 3, and it is their function to be the general overseers of the school’s operation.

Additions to the Board are made generally from the school’s parents who have proven to be involved supporters of the school and fulfill the mandate of I Timothy 3. At times, a specific function of the Board may be filled by a non-parent.

The Board usually meets monthly. We have an “open door” policy. All East Central Illinois Christian School teachers and parents are welcome at these meetings. The first thirty minutes of each Board Meeting will be set aside for parents and teachers to address the Board with comments and questions.

It is to be understood that the Matthew 18 principle will be followed before bringing an issue to the Board.
